Helping those in need.
In April 2018, Emmi Roth employees participated in a food drive for the Second Harvest Foodbank, whose goal is to make sure everyone in southwestern Wisconsin has enough of the right kinds of food to live a happy and healthy life. In 2017 alone, the foodbank distributed more than 14 million pounds of food.
REAP Food Truck to Madison, Wisconsin.
In April 2018, the REAP food truck, donated by Emmi Roth, rolled out in the Madison, WI school district. The food truck helps bring healthy food options to students to help support the Farm to School partnership between REAP Food Group and the school district. Emmi Roth is a proud partner of REAP Food Group, a local organization committed to building and sustaining the local food system that supports small family farms and locally owned businesses, promotes sustainable agriculture and provides access to fresh, healthy food for schools and the community in Southern Wisconsin.
Crocheting for a cause.
To recognize American Heart Month in February 2018, Emmi Roth employees and their families knitted and donated 71 newborn hats for the Little Hats, Big Hearts Program. The nationwide program raises awareness about Congenital Heart Defects by giving red hats to babies born in February at local participating hospitals.
Tying as a team.
Emmi Roth employees team up for the 3rd annual blanket-making event in January 2018. Thirty blankets were made by employees – 4 were donated to the Aging and Disability Resource Center in Grand County and 24 went to Project Linus, with focus of our donation going to foster kids soon aging out of the program.
Lending a helping hand to Hurricane Harvey victims.
Emmi Roth teams up with other Wisconsin cheese companies to send food to areas affected by Hurricane Harvey in August 2017. 1,000 pounds of cheese was sent to the Houston Food Bank to help those in need after the storm. The Houston Food Bank is a large provider of food for victims of the storm and plays a critical role in the restoration of the state.
Emmi Roth walks for suicide prevention.
A team of Emmi Roth employees gathered in April 2017 in Monroe, Wisconsin, for the Angels Among Us of Green County walk to support suicide prevention. The event supports the local Jacob’s SWAG Foundation, which was created to raise funds to help provide educational programs about bullying, suicide prevention and good life choices in local schools and community youth programs.
