Where Craft Lives

Our Locations

From copper vats and aging cellars to modern production and innovation facilities, our locations are where tradition meets progress every day. Across Wisconsin, our teams craft, age, and produce specialty cheeses with care, combining Swiss heritage, American ingenuity, and a shared commitment to quality. Each facility plays a unique role in our story — but together, they form one purpose: inspiring moments of enjoyment through food while supporting our people, customers, and communities. From our creameries in Monroe, Platteville, and Seymour, to our corporate headquarters in Stoughton, to teams supporting customers nationwide, our work starts in Wisconsin and reaches tables across the country.

Monroe--Wisconsin-Emmi-Roth

Monroe, Wisconsin

Our Flagship Location For more than 35 years, our Monroe facility has stood at the heart of Emmi Roth’s cheesemaking tradition. As our flagship site, it’s where Swiss heritage and Wisconsin craftsmanship come together every day—from the use of classic copper vats to the careful aging of cheese on traditional spruce boards. Generations of expert makers have honed their craft within these walls, helping establish Monroe as the home of our award-winning Alpine-style cheeses and a symbol of our commitment to quality, tradition, and innovation in everything we do. Monroe is also home to our Culinary Education Center — a welcoming space where we host customers and partners, share expertise, and build lasting relationships around a shared love of cheese and food.

-Platteville--Wisconsin--Emmi-Roth

Platteville, Wisconsin

Our Primary Wash-Rind Facility Platteville plays an important role in advancing Emmi Roth’s specialty cheesemaking capabilities. Added to our facility portfolio in 2014, this location serves as our primary washed-rind production site, supporting larger-scale crafting of the distinctive, flavor-forward cheeses our customers know and love. Working in close partnership with our Monroe and Seymour locations, Platteville helps strengthen both our capacity and our craft. Like all Emmi Roth facilities, Platteville is FSSC 22000 certified, meeting one of the most rigorous global food safety standards and reinforcing our unwavering commitment to quality, consistency, and trust. Sustainability is also central to how this site operates. To reduce our environmental footprint, we’ve invested in on-site solar panels and an anaerobic digester that responsibly manages wastewater. These efforts help conserve resources, lower emissions, and support the long-term health of our local community and environment — because caring for the places we call home is part of how we do business every day.

Seymour--Wisconsin-Emmi-Roth

Seymour, Wisconsin

Expanding Our Blue Cheese Expertise Added in 2019, Seymour is the home of our award-winning blue cheese and gorgonzola — and a cornerstone of Emmi Roth’s specialty cheese expertise. The Seymour facility expanded our capabilities and deepened our commitment to crafting bold, distinctive blues that have become a signature of the Emmi Roth portfolio. Here, time-honored techniques and careful aging come together to create complex flavors and unforgettable character in every wheel. Beyond cheesemaking, Seymour is also leading the way in sustainability innovation. By capturing and reusing water that flows through the plant’s ammonia compressor system, the facility conserves more than 9 million gallons of water each year — water that would have otherwise gone to waste. This meaningful improvement supports our broader goal of reducing wastewater by 15% by 2027 and reflects our ongoing commitment to responsible, efficient production.

Stoughton--Wisconsin-Emmi-Roth

Stoughton, Wisconsin

Headquarters & Conversion Facility Opened in 2023, Stoughton is home to Emmi Roth’s corporate headquarters and our state-of-the-art conversion facility — a significant step forward in how we support our customers, partners, and growing portfolio of brands. This 158,000-square-foot, all-electric building brings together our leadership teams and advanced operations under one roof, creating greater collaboration, efficiency, and innovation across the business. Designed with the future in mind, the facility cups, bags, wedges, shreds, and crumbles cheese for many of the nation’s leading brands. By expanding our in-house conversion capabilities, Stoughton allows Emmi Roth to manage more of our supply chain, deliver greater consistency and quality, and help elevate the broader U.S. cheese conversion landscape. As our newest location, Stoughton reflects where we’re headed — combining smart technology, sustainable design, and operational excellence to support the next generation of specialty cheese.
